The Abuja Literary Society (ALS) is an organisation that brings people who have a love of all things literary to the capital of Nigeria. The organisation hosts a series of events every month to bring together including a Book Jam and a book club.

The Book Jam which is hosted on the last Friday of every month had Dami Ajayi and Patrick Oguejiofor as the participating writers on Friday 26th June at the Sandralia Hotel, Jabi Abuja. Ajayi, who just come from charming the folks at the Writivism Festival 2015 in Uganda, is a poet and read from his highly regarded collection Clinical Blues. Oguejiofor is the author of the novel Fast Track.

There was a healthy turnout at the venue with many asking the writers questions about their process and motivation. The usual thing you get where readers and writers meet.
