Action packed Pa Gya! Literary Festival 2018 set for Accra, Ghana.

An action packed Pa Gya! Literary festival 2018 is set to happen in Accra, Ghana from October 19-21, 2018.

The Pa Gya! Literary festival first hosted in Accra in 2017 was organised by the Writers Project of Ghana and the Goethe-Institut Accra. The festival had a very good line-up for a first run with Niq Mhlongo, Sabata Mpho-Mokae, Eghosa Imasuen, Adewale Maja-Pearce, Kangni Alem, and Nii Ayikwei Parkes featuring. The festival highlight were the conversation and poetry readings with Ama Ata Aidoo and Kobena Eyi Acquah.

The 2018 edition of the festival is set for this weekend and the activities are even more ambitious that the previous year with workshops, readings of poetry and prose, panel discussions, and more on offer. Here’s what to look out for.

• Poetry by Efe Paul Azino and Nana Asaase.
• Fiction by Nii Ayikwei Parkes and Dzekashu McViban.
• How to Unleash your Creative Mind in Writing by Mo Issa and Nesta Erskine.

• Memoirs, Autobiographies, and Biographies featuring Kwesi Amoak, Mo Issa, and Ebenezer Amankwah.
• Creative Writing Programs in Ghana featuring H L Daniel, Nana Achampong, Billy Kahora moderated by Nana Nyarko Boateng.
