The winners of the African Christian Authors Book Awards 2023 were announced at a gala in Nairobi on Monday, November 25, 2023.
The African Christian Authors Book Award program was set up to recognise and promote quality in Christian authorship in East Africa. Presented annually to Christian authors, the program celebrates the “best of the year” in many categories. Five finalists are chosen in each category unless there is a tie. The Winner in each category is announced and awarded at the African Christian Authors Gala held at CLC Kenya’s Family Reading Picnic each year. The first edition was conferred in 2022.
The 2023 awards were announced at a gala with writers from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and South Africa showcasing the diverse and rich Christian literature across the continent. The winners in various categories made public in Nairobi in the last weekend of November. Some of these are;

Business-Finance Category – The Seven Ms of Moneyship, Erastus Muratha
Culture Category – Heartstrings, Onejiku
History and Biography Category – Tea Girl To A Banker, Ruth Mueni; God’s Calling, Dr Daniel M Mutungi
Leadership Category – Engaged and Productive, Gilbert Ang’ana
Mental Health and Addictions Category – Enter Into Rest: Dating and Divorcing Depression, Susan Muriuki

Apart from the awards being handed out, there was a book fest that had events for adults, young adults, and children over the day.
