Ake Festival 2022 artists now known, please register to attend.

The artists who will take part in Ake Arts & Book Festival 2022 which runs in Lagos, Nigeria from November 24-26, 2022 are now known. Guests are asked to register for the festival.

The Ake Arts & Book Festival, popularly known as the Ake Festival, has been running in Nigeria since 2012. Lovers of books and the arts attend book readings, panel discussions, poetry recitals, film screenings, theatre and music performances, and lots more over the week of the festival. On July 12, the team organising the festival announced the theme for the year as “Generational Discordance” and the dates to be October 28-30.

In October, the headliner was revealed to be Véronique Tadjo. Since then, the featured guests have been shared by the organisers of the festival via social media and any bibliophile would be excited to engage them. These are writers, thinkers, and others from across the African literary community on the continent and the diaspora from countries from Botswana to Trinidad and Tobago and everywhere in between.
