The Awards du Livre d’Abidjan 2025 finalists were announced in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
Les Awards du Livre d’Abidjan (English: Abidjan Book Awards), initiated by the Art d’Éburnie Foundation, is aimed at promoting Ivorian literature by celebrating book industry players. The initiative was presented by Art d’Éburnie Foundation President Patricia Hourra at the Carrefour Siloé bookstore in Abidjan, Cocody on Saturday. Hourra stressed, during the press conference attended by writers, publishers, booksellers, public figures, literary bloggers, and book enthusiasts, that it was an opportunity to highlight the invisible hands that contribute to the growth of Ivorian literature.
“The Book Awards are a ceremony celebrating those involved in the literary world,” Hourra, a writer and member of the Association of Writers of Côte d’Ivoire, said.
The awards with six categories have Marie Catherine Kouassi as jury president. The finalists in each category are;
Le Prix du livre prestige (English: The Prestige Book Award)
- Prisons, Jean-Valère Djezou
- Ghezo Agouda, Camille Anoh
- Le jour montant, Demba Diop
- L’affront, Abdala Koné
- L’eunuque et l’empereur, Solo Niaré
Le prix Simone Kaya du livre féminin (English: The Simone Kaya Women’s Book Award)
- Reine Or, Fatou Sy
- Le chapelet de misère, Mahoua S Bakayoko
- Moi maîtresse, Djeney Siby
- Naima, Nania Koulibali
- Délivre-moi du mâle, Grâce Minlibé
L’Award du meilleur promoteur littéraire (English: The Best Literary Promoter Award)

The awards will be handed out at a gala scheduled for Saturday, May 24, 2025.
