Bernardine Evaristo’s Booker Award-winning novel Girl, Woman, Other is now available in Spanish from Alianza de Novelas.

Bernardine Evaristo has been doing us proud for a very long time. With her winning the Booker Prize last year, the rest of the world finally discovered one of the finest writers working today. The author has been getting nominations from all over the planet for her book with the latest coming from the UK’s Indie Book Awards.

It looks like Spanish-speaking folks will now get a chance to read the juggernaut that is Girl, Woman, Other. The Spanish language publishing firm Alianza de Novelas has acquired the rights to the novel translated by Julia Osuna and now called NIÑA, MUJER, OTRAS. The news was shared by the firm on their Twitter on May 12 with the following thread.

Evaristo’s response was, “First foreign translation – Spain! The title translates perfectly, she says from her O’Level in Spanish.”
