Boy Interrupted the debut novel of Liberian author Saah Millimono will be launching tomorrow at The Market Place, Carey & Nelson Streets, Monrovia, Liberia on Friday, April, 24.
Boy Interrupted is a searing, heartbreaking love story set in the civil war years in Liberia which came second book in the Kwani Trust manuscript prize which first gave us Kintu by Ugandan Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi. When it was announced as one to be published, it had been initially introduced as One Day I Will Write About this War.
Saah Millimono will be in conversation with Hawa Jande Golakai (author of ‘The Lazarus Effect’ and part of the Africa39 list) followed by an audience Q&A, book signing, and refreshments.
