Ugandan publishing house Sooo Many Stories has made a callout for children’s literature. The callout is only for those who come from Uganda.
Sooo Many Stories, run by the irrepressible Nyana Kakoma, was introduced to many of us as a blog which unashamedly promoted content from Uganda before converting to a publishing house. Since then the blog turned publishing house has been some very good work publishing Kagayi Peter’s The Headline That Morning and Other Poems and Philippa Namutebi Kabali-Kagwa’s Flame and Song. Apart from publishing books they have been involved in campaigns to help reading grow in Uganda both for children and adults as well as a booktube channel.
The three year old publishing house is currently accepting submissions in the form of manuscripts for children’s literature, suitable for ages zero to 14 years. For details on the callout please click here.
The deadline for manuscript submissions is 10th December 2018 at 11:59PM (EAT). Manuscripts received after this time will not be considered.
