I talked about the Daystar Creatives 2015 last year. This is a project where students of Daystar University get to meet up with writers, media personalities, bloggers, publishers, and editors for several weeks. The idea is for them to learn how to make a career from being a creative in Kenya.
The Daystar Creatives will be launching again on the 24th of January at the Valley Road campus of the well-known institution of higher learning. The organisers have also announced some of the folks who will be guiding the young minds of the next generation of Kenyan creatives. Many will be from the literature field which is why I have an interest in it. Some of them include;
- Stanley Gazemba, writer
- Jason Kapkirwok, writer
- Oyunga Pala, writer and columnist
- Biko Zulu, award-winning writer and columnist
- Musyoki Muli, CEO, Longhorn publishers
