Dr Robert Ouko Memorial Library is Kenya’s best library in 2015

The sixth edition of the 2015 Maktaba Awards, which recognises Kenya’s best libraries, was held at the Nairobi National Museum on Tuesday Evening.

Libraries are very important as they are where we get to access many books as we grow. The award is a brainchild of the Goethe-Institut Kenya, the Kenya Library Association, and the Jomo Kenyatta Foundation. The project supports and rewards creativity, innovation, and provision of quality service in Kenyan libraries.
The winner of the best library overall was the Dr Robert Ouko Memorial Library which was also recognised as the best community library.
