South African writer Songeziwe Mahlangu, author of Penumbra and the winner of the Etisalat Prize 2014 will be in Nairobi for an afternoon of readings and conversations.
The event on Sunday, May 3rd will also feature veteran Kenyan writer, Henry Ole Kulet, Caine prize winner Yvonne Adhiambo Owour, historian Ngala Chome and Kwani Trust Managing Editor Billy Kahora.
Kulet’s novel Vanishing Herds (Longhorn Publishers) (my review) won the 2013 Jomo Kenyatta Prize for Literature and was nominated for the International Impac Dublin Award 2010. He has published several books and has over 30 years experience writing about contemporary Maa (Maasai) culture.
