Feira do Livro de Maputo 2025 will be held in the Mozambican capital from June 19 – 20, 2025.
Feira do Livro de Maputo (English: Maputo Book Fair) was first hosted by the Municipal Council of Maputo in the Mozambican capital in 2014. It has grown to become the leading festival driving the literary arts in the Southern African country, hosting numerous writers and poets, especially those who write in Portuguese. These have been at book launches and readings, exhibitions, poetry recitals, and other events at a book fair, targeted at both children and adults.

The 2025 edition, curated by Amosse Mucavele and Juci Reis, adopts a multicultural approach, bringing together authors, artists, and researchers from Mozambique, Brazil, and other Portuguese-speaking countries. Among the Mozambican guests will be Lucílio Manjate, Mélio Tinga, Eduardo Quive, Maya Macuacua, Énia Lipanga, and Feling Capela. At the same time, the Brazilians featured include curator Juci Reis, visual artist and creative director Mayara Ferrão, and a multidisciplinary team of musicians, photographers, and writers, such as communicator Lucas de Matos, who promise vibrant dialogues and creative intersections. The Brazilian delegation is part of the project “Traveling Writing and Diasporic Cultural Diversities”, promoted by Coletivo Flipeba, focusing on black literature, memory, and identity.
