The Ghana International Book Fair 2022 runs in Accra, Ghana from August 10 – 13, 2023. Its theme is “Reading to connect minds to social transformation.”
The Ghana International Book Fair brings together local and international book industry players like publishers, editors, authors/ writers, designers, illustrators, printers, librarians, booksellers, students, teachers, and a host of allied organisations, to showcase innovations that have occurred in the publishing industry, to share ideas, foster strong links, explore business opportunities and enhance the visibility and recognition of players in the book industry.
This year’s Ghana International Book Fair, now in its twentieth year, is a key event of the Accra World Book Capital 2023 which seeks to promote Ghana’s culture through books. Hosted at the Accra International Conference Centre, visitors can expect a plethora of events for adults and children like book readings, book launches, panels, poetry readings, school debates, books available for sale at discounts, and more. There will be workshops like “How To Break Into An International Market as an Author” by Dr Traneisha Jones in conversation with Sam Nyarko-Mensah.
Many personalities are slated to feature like UNESCO Ghana, Country Director Abdourahamane Diallo, actor and writer Adjetey Anang, former footballer and memoir writer Asamoah Gyan, and more.
