Harare Open Book Festival 2024

Harare Open Book Festival 2024 for October 19

The Harare Open Book Festival 2024, with the theme “Necessary Conversations,” will be held in Zimbabwe’s capital city on Saturday, October 19.

When it was first hosted at Ela The Garden, Harare, in 2022, the Harare Open Book Festival featured some of the country’s leading writers. Another successful edition in 2023 followed, quickly establishing it as one of the leading festivals in Southern Africa.

The 2024 edition curated by Brian Garusa promises just as much literary goodness as in the previous years with readings, panel discussions, and more. The confirmed guests include Aaron Chiundura Moyo, Siphiwe Gloria Ndlovu, Togara Muzanenhamo, Clive Mono Mukundu, Sue Nyathi, Tinashe Muchuri, Beaton Mabaso, David Bene, Sista Zai, Pauline Chirata Mukondiwa, Placidia Chiwita, Rutendo Chichaya, Sylvia Sanyanga, Pamela Phiri, Fungai Chigumbura, Zukiswa Wanner, Nomsa Mlambo and Margaret Chideme.
