The artists who will feature at the Kaduna Book & Arts Festival 2022 in Kaduna, Nigeria from September 14-17, 2022 have been announced.
The Nigerian state of Kaduna introduced Kaduna Book & Arts Festival to its cultural calendar as part of its centenary celebrations in 2017. Headlined by award-winning author Leila Aboulela, it featured over 50 writers, artists, actors, poets, and performers who shared their work with enthusiastic crowds. The success of that edition, organised by the Book Buzz Foundation, saw it run in 2018, 2019, and 2020 before taking a Covid-19 induced break.
The 2022 edition returns to Kaduna with the usual offerings you would expect at a literary extravaganza like book readings and launches, poetry readings, Booklogues, and Panel Discussions, as well as film screenings, and an art fair this September.
Starting August 26, the festival organisers started to make the featured guests that included writers, poets, journalists, editors, administrators, filmmakers, corporate executives, bibliophiles, among others from across West Africa public. Some of these are Bisi Adjapon, Muhammad Sani Abdullahi, Maryam Augie Abdulmumin, Leye Adenle, Abdulrahman Usman Leme, Kadaria Ahmed, Joseph O.
