Lagos International Poetry Festival 2023 guests known

The guests who will take part in the Lagos International Poetry Festival 2023 under the theme “Sanctuary” which runs from October 26 – 29, 2023 are now known.

The Lagos International Poetry Festival brings together poets, writers, artists, and thinkers from across the world to Lagos for a week of conversations, readings, performances, workshops, and adventure. Founded in 2015 by poet Efe Paul Azino, it has established itself as one of the continent’s annual art and culture highlights.

For 2023, the festival is set to offer a diverse range of artistic experiences, including performances and readings, panel discussions and workshops, film screenings, and exhibitions. It will present a line-up of prominent artists, poets, writers, activists, healers, and thinkers dedicated to creating an immersive sanctuary for reflection and wellness over the course of four transformative days.

Visitors can also look forward to yoga and wellness sessions, a movement therapy space, a game room, and an on-site private oasis for writing and reflection. All activities will be hosted at the Alliance Française/Mike Adenuga Centre, 9, Osborne Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Some of the featured guests from Nigeria and further afield are Jericho Brown, Jude Dibia, Kweku John Abimbola, Nana Asaase, Ngwatilo Mawiyoo, Olumide F. Makanjuola, Paul Liam, Richard Ali, Aanu Jide-Ojo, Abu Bakr Sadiq, Adedayo Agarau, Adedotun Eyinade, Alycia Pirmohamed, David Osaodion Odiase, Deborah Johnson, Taiye Ojo, Tanasgol Sabbagh, Tares Oburumu, Tobi Abiodun, Tolu Agbelusi, Tom Oloyede, Dike Chukwumerije, Amanda Iheme, Amanda Thomson, Bassey Ikpi, Chika Jones, Edwige Renée Dro, Eghosa Imasuen, Elizabeth Johnson, Eloghosa Osunde, Faith Moyosore Agboola, Immaculata Abba, Ismail Bala, Iyanu Adebiyi, and Wana Udobang.
