The Imbiza Journal is a publishing platform for creative writing, criticism, academic writing, and intellectual engagement for African thinkers, cultural workers, and activists based in South Africa.
The latest issues, published in September, has legendary writer Sindiwe Magona as cover model. It features writers from other countries on the continent, including Nigeria, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Lesotho. The regular menu of book reviews, interviews, poems, short stories, and essays is enhanced by new aesthetics.

Doek! Literary Magazine (Doek!) is a free, independent, and Pan-African online literary magazine produced in Windhoek, Namibia. It publishes short fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and visual art from Namibia, Africa, and the African diaspora.
The current issue features fiction, nonfiction, and poetry as well as visual art from Kojo Baffoe, Maria Iita, Ellen Banda-Aaku, Fiske Serah Nyirongo A. K. Herman, and Pauline Buhlebenkosi Ndhlovu.

Transition

Transition is a unique forum for the freshest, most compelling ideas from and about the black world. Since its founding in Uganda in 1961, the magazine has kept apace of the rapid transformation of the African Diaspora and has remained a leading forum of intellectual debate.
The latest edition is issue 134 with the theme “Home Soon.” Some of the contributors are Lutivini Majanja, Okwudili Nebeolisa, Eviano George, Taylor Byas, Adedayo Agarau, Silyane Larcher, Winelle Felix, Clemonce Heard, Zkara Gaillard, Myronn Hardy, Stanley Stocker, Myles Gordon, Marlin M. Masobe quarterly

Masobe Books is a publisher from Nigeria who has been making strides in the African literary space in the last couple of years. In the recent past, some of the writers who have published or books are forthcoming are Efua Traoré, Chimeka Garricks, Bina Idonije, Odafe Atogun, Troy Onyango, Ayodele Olofintuade, Michael Afenfia, Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani, and Abubakar Adam Ibrahim.
The Lagos-based publisher has a publication they call the Masobe Quarterly which features some of the people who they have published. The most current edition has Abubakar Adam Ibrahim as its most recent cover model with features on Chika Unigwe, Emmanuel Iduma, and other authors and topics of interest to the reader.
