Umukarago

The Rwandan chapter of Writers Space Africa (WSA-R) has launched a literary magazine titled “Umukarago.” The first issue is out and presents a stunning collection of works by Rwandan and Rwanda-based writers and poets. The online magazine includes poetry, fiction, and book reviews, with the objective of becoming a space for sharing and celebrating the rich diversity and creativity of Rwandan writers and poets, and those who call Rwanda their home.

The issue is edited by Sandra Nadege, serving as the Chief Editor, along with Cosma Mugisha, Lise Nova Berwadushime, and Justine Umuhire. The cover image is by Bruce S. Tuyishime. The collection features talented writers and poets such as Ange Dusingize, Patrick Shyaka, Jainaba Danso, Divine Ukwishatse, Olga Colombe Nyampinga, Aimee Merci Dominique Iragena, Muctar Inkindi, Pacifique Niyitanga, Grace Uwizeye, Gilbert Becko Niyitanga, Esdras Rwakana, and Cynthia Shimwa.

Lolwe is an online literary magazine that publishes fiction, literary criticism, personal essays, photography, and poetry.

The latest issue is edited by Bongani Sibanda, Hibaq Osman and Filemon liyambo. Pepper Coast Lit is a literary magazine that seeks to give attention to brave voices from the coast of Liberia. They accept poetry from around the world, cutting across any/and every theme and/or style.

The third issue edited by Jakky Bankong-Obi and Akpa Arinzechukwu has poetry and prose from among others Dami Ajayi, Janetta Marilyn Konah, Chisom Okafor, Divine Inyang Titus, Michael Immosan, Osahon Oka, Olowonjoyin Muhammed Sanni, Shannon Kenny, Lawdenmarc Decamora, Mubarak Said, and Aminata Talawally.
