The Weganda Review

The Weganda Review is a literary journal produced in Uganda as a project of the cultural nonprofit Weganda Foundation. The platform founded by Rodney Muhumuza in 2023 features writers, researchers, academics, artists, and others publishing short fiction, poetry, art portfolios, photography, diaries, reviews, and essays as cultural criticism.
The magazine’s latest edition has prose, poetry, nonfiction, and art by among others Robert Waswani, Rodney Muhumuza, Risdel Kasasira, Adventino Banjwa, Dennis Mugaa, Iruoma Chukuemeka, Chinua Ezenwa-Ohaeto, Ber Anena, Chioniso Tsikisayi, Ssebo Lule, Mugabi Byenkya, Jackline Nanziri, Joseph Mugume, George W. Lolwe

Lolwe is an online literary magazine that publishes fiction, literary criticism, personal essays, photography, and poetry founded in 2020.
The latest issue is guest-edited by Gambian writer Ya Mallen Jagne, Beninese writer Nadu Ologoudou, and Malawian writer Tamanda Kanjaye. The cover image for the issue is by Ivorian photographer Nadaud Aïcha Fall and the illustration is by Mòje Ikpeme.
The issue features fiction by Davina Philomena Kawuma (Uganda), iman adam (Kenya), Chioniso Tsikisayi (Zimbabwe), B. T. Karuma (Zimbabwe), Fatima Abdullahi (Nigeria). Poetry by Alvin Kathembe (Kenya), Sulayman Saye (The Gambia), Olowo Qudus Opeyemi (Nigeria), Tawiah Mensah (Ghana), Fadairo Tesleem (Nigeria). The Shallow Tales Review

The Shallow Tales Review is a Nigerian-based electronic literary magazine dedicated to curating new and established voices from Africa.
The latest issue has fiction, poetry, and essays from among others Sabah Carrim, Chyna Cassell, Amanie Mathurin, Promise Chinonso Udechukwu, Opeyemi Oluwayomi, Abu Ibrahim, Inimfon Kufre Inyang-Kpanantia, Mathew Daniel, Azaiouris Y. Zeon, Laurène Southe, and Frank Njugi.

Kikwetu Magazine

Born out of a Nairobi-based writing group in 2015, Kikwetu is an online literary journal that publishes both new and established writers from East Africa and beyond in English and Kiswahili.
The newest edition of the magazine has contributions from Isaac Kilibwa, Florence Onyango, Chinaza James-Ibe, Abdurlrahaman Adeiza Jimoh, and Chiemeziem Everest Udochukwu.
