Livre d’Ailleurs 2024 will be hosted for its third edition in Nancy, France from April 12 – 14, 2024.
Livre d’Ailleurs (Book of Elsewhere) is an international literary festival first hosted in Nancy, France in 2022. It is aimed at broadening literary horizons and introducing audiences to other imaginary worlds and alternates between an edition dedicated to Africa and an edition dedicated to the Orient.
The 2024 edition of the festival will focus on the African continent and will feature readings of both poetry and prose, moderated panels, book launches, keynote addresses, and loads more.
The writers, poets, comics, and other guests come from the host country France as well as Cameroon, Mauritania, Senegal, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Gabon, Congo Brazzaville, DR Congo, Chad, Burkina Faso, Madagascar, Sudan, Morocco, Central African Republic, Belgium, Rwanda, Tunisia, Cote D’Ivoire, Algeria, and Mayotte. They include Yvette Balana, Mbarek Ould Beyrouk, Ken Bugul, Mia Couto, Tsitsi Dangarembga, Charline Effah, Bill Kouélany, Werewere Liking, Dibakana Mankessi, Godefroy Mwanabwato, Noël Nétonon Ndjékéry, Yamba Elie Ouédraogo, Hammour Ziada, Michèle Rakotoson, Zineb Benjelloun, Christophe Cassiau-Haurie, Didier Kassai, Seif Eddine Nechi, Alice and Gaspard Talmasse, Tanella Boni, Samira Negrouche, Henri Michel Yéré, Nassuf Djailani, Parfait D. Akana, Aisha Dème, Tahar Khalfoune, Samy Manga, and Maya Ouabadi.
