Last year was the one where we were all introduced to a concept called “Long Story Short.” The concept which was a brainchild of South African Kgauhelo Dube and curated by Yewande Omotoso. In it there would be public readings of books by some of the continents best writers by some of Mzansi’s most well known thespians.
The readings which happened mainly in Pretoria were recorded and included the stories by Cynthia Jele, Zukiswa Wanner, Chibundu Onuzo, Uche Peter Umezurike, Thando Mgqolozana, Doreen Baingana and Niq Mhlongo. Check out all the videos from the year old readings below.
