A new biography of the band founder Frank Leepa is coming our way. Written by Mpho A. Leepa, the musician’s younger sister, it is said to be a moving biography of one of Africa’s legends of contemporary music. It will give an almost-complete account of her brother’s fulfilled, yet turbulent time in Lesotho, South Africa and Europe. Mpho takes us on a journey of this genius – from childhood, to political turmoil of Lesotho, to missing a chance to gig in America for 6-months to their success in South Africa and in Europe.
The book will be launched at African Flavour Books in Johannesburg on May 26, 2018 – to coincide with Africa Month celebrations. The book will then be launched in Bloemfontein on June 3 and then in Maseru at the end of June 2018.
