A new academic book, Novels from Botswana written in English from 1930 to 2006, was launched at the University of Botswana Bookstore in Gaborone, Botswana last week. The book is written by Dr. Mary Lederer.

In our other Lauri Kubuitsile, news the Botswana author is currently on her way to Sweden to discuss African crime fiction which is being highlighted at The Nordic Africa Institute in Uppsala. Four writers from the continent will talk about their work and meet with researchers to discuss different perspectives on and perceptions of crime.

Kubuitsile will be joined by Helon Habila Nigerian author and Cordite Books publisher who is also an associate professor of Creative Writing at George Mason University in the United States. Also at the event will be Wanjiku Wa Ngugi and Margie Orford.
