Rencontres Internationales du Livre Francophone du Rwanda 2024 runs for its third edition in Kigali from March 6 – 9, 2024.
The Rencontres Internationales du Livre Francophone du Rwanda (English: Rwanda International Francophone Book Meetings) brings together writers, artists and book and publishing professionals, as well as school audiences and the general public. The festival organised to open the month of Francophonie has been hosted in 2022 and 2023.
For 2024, in this year of the 30th commemorations, works devoted to the genocide perpetrated against the Tutsi – academic books, essays, novels – and their authors will be in the spotlight of the 2024 edition of the Meetings. Writers, historians, magistrates, intellectuals, activists, and journalists will meet for four days to debate, transmit, and deliberate.
