South African writer Eusebius McKaiser has passed away

South African writer Eusebius McKaiser passed away in Johannesburg, South Africa on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

Eusebius McKaiser was a political analyst, journalist, and broadcaster. Among others, he wrote for the Mail & Guardian, the Sunday Times, Foreign Policy, The Guardian, The New York Times, and Business Day, for which he wrote a weekly column.

The Johannesburg-based writer wrote the nonfiction offerings of A Bantu in My Bathroom!: Debating Race, Sexuality and Other Uncomfortable South African Topics (2012), Could I Vote DA?: A Voter’s Dilemma (2014), and Run Racist Run: Journeys into the Heart of Racism (2016).

He passed away on Tuesday.
