Submissions are sought for a new African Writers Residency set up by The Goethe-Institut/ Bureau de liaison Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso.
The Goethe-Institut/ Bureau de liaison Ouagadougou is setting up a writer’s residency for young African writers (less than 40 years) in 2019/20 in Burkina Faso. The new residency is open to writers of all literary genres: novel, poetry, essay, storytelling, narration, theatre, comic, etc. The production of a text to be published at the end of 2020, either in physical or digital version, is mandatory for the authors in residence.
There will be two or three residencies of 4 weeks in Ouagadougou in 2019/20. Three authors will be selected per residency with one coming from the host country of Burkina Faso and two from other African countries.
