The Single Story Foundation Journal is currently accepting submissions in poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction towards its third edition. The deadline for submission is April 30.
The Single Story Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides storytelling opportunities for Africans at home and in diaspora. They publish TSSF Journal, a yearly literary journal that publishes fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction, and essays. Last year’s journal featured writers and poets from all over the continent with folks like Lauri Kubuitsile, Athol Williams, Efe Ogufere, Timi Odueso, Ahmad Holderness, O.J. Nwankwo, Taiye Ojo, Torinmo Salau, and Fahima Hersi.
The journal has made a call out for the latest edition of their journal. They are accepting all kinds of stories, whether genre or literary. The journal this year is not specific theme so writer can send in work with a many themes like chronic illnesses, disability, LGBTQI issues, depression, and anxiety, etc.
Submissions should be sent as a .doc or .rtf attachment, one single document. Failure to adhere to this will result in rejection. Also, entries submitted in the body of the email will not be accepted. Your contact information, such as your name, address, phone, and email, should be in the body of the email. Your bio should also be included in the body of the email.
