Umuofia Arts and Book Festival 2025 starts July 31

The Umuofia Arts and Book Festival 2025 will be held for the third year in Enugu, Nigeria from July 31 to August 2nd.

The Umuofia Arts and Books Festival is a literary and artistic gathering held in Igbo land, Nigeria, named after the fictional village in Chinua Achebe’s iconic 1958 novel Things Fall Apart. Organised by the Eagle Nest Literary Foundation, it aims to foster the advancement of literary and artistic culture.

The festival includes events such as book readings, workshops, poetry slams, and art exhibitions. It also features panel discussions on topics related to arts, politics, philosophy, technology, and science.

The third edition of the festival is scheduled to take place in Enugu from July 31st to August 2nd, 2025. Some of the featured guests include Uchenna Ugwu, Rosemary Okafor, Obinna Udenwe, Igboinna Eze, Nana Sule, Lydia Ndubuaku, Ezioma Kalu, Ismail Bala, Njoku Nonso, Ebai Kowaki, Emmanuel Esomnofu, Soonest Nathaniel, Chisom Okafor, Chimezie Chika, Ochiogu Ezindubuisi, and Wendy Okeke.
