Invisible Borders Trans-African project 2018 heads from Lagos to Maputo over the dates of 20 August, 2018 – 23 November 2018. The writers who join the trip this year are Yinka Elujoba, Tope Salaudeen-Adégòkè, Barbara Wanjala, and Katleho Kano Shoro.
The Invisible Borders Trans-African Organisation has organised road trips from Lagos to other parts of the African continent since 2009. Beginning as a photography initiative, the project has embraced other disciplines, notably literature, film, and performance art. While on the road, the participating artists and the organisation make a point of sharing real-time photographs, factual and reflective blogposts, as well as video diaries.
This year, the road trip which features some writers will be going overland from Lagos (Nigeria) to Maputo (Mozambique) over 95 days, from August 20 to November 23, 2018. The following are taking part in this road trip which is divided into two legs of Lagos to Kampala and Kampala to Maputo. The writers have been bolded.
Lagos to Kampala Leg.
