Grande Rentrée Littéraire de Kinshasa 2024 starts September 12

Grande Rentrée Littéraire de Kinshasa 2024 will be hosted in DR Congo’s capital from September 12 – 14, 2024. The event theme will be “Women and Peace.”

Rentrée Littéraire is a practice adopted by French publishers, characterised by many new book releases (all styles and genres mixed). It takes place every year between late August and early November. Grande Rentrée Littéraire de Kinshasa organised by Wallonia-Brussels Center will be happening at the end of this week at the Rond-point Huileries/ Lingwala for the eighth time.

The writers who feature this year will come from the host country DR Congo alongside Germany, Belgium, and France. They include Charlie Demoulin Didier Mumengi, Lilia Bongi, Elisabeth Mweya Tol’ande, Christian Gombo, Patrick Basham, Tony Elebe, Netty Mayaka, Pauline Mansilua, Claudeo Nsiala, Landry Mussaka, Giovanni Masala, Tony Mandi Mandi, Noella Katham, Myriam Zanga, Patrick Tank Tankama, Reinette Mulonda, Marc Mukaba, Jovitha Songwa, and Youssef Branh.

The winners of Prix Zamenga will also be announced.
